  • Quick Review of GHD Hair Straighteners

My hair can be a bit wild sometimes and takes dozens of hair products, not to mention a very tolerant hair stylist, to tame it and keep it in place. Then a few months ago I decided that I'd just about had enough of struggling every morning and that I would buy a pair of good quality straightenering irons to help me sort out my crazy hair.

The first time I came across ghd irons was when my salon asked me if I would like to try a new pair of ceramic stylers they had. They said it would reduce my time at the salon in half. So I resolved to buy some ghd straighteners for myself. They looked quite easy to use. All the salons were selling them at £100, so I seached for a better deal.

The best deal I found online was listed here: ghd Straighteners - they list only official ghd retailers, this is very important as there are tons of fake ghds being sold on the net, in fact if you come across new ghds being sold for less than £75 they are probably fake so be aware.

As far as I can tell there are 3 typs of products that all use the same GHD technology. A thinner plated straightener for those with shorter hair, called the GHD Mini Styler. A medium plated straightener, for those with mid to normal hair and the wide plated  Salon Styler for longhair styles, thicker or particularly awkward hair. I used the medium one, the GHD IV Styler, which coped with my shoulder length, curly hair very well. This is the most commonly found of the range and is the styler I decided to go for as a good alrounder.

Instead of spending over a hour on my hair it takes 20 minites, and it leaves my hair striaght and shiney. Another plus point is that you can create other styles, such as curls, waves and flicks. They are a must have.
